# Triumph — Free Praxis 5001 Readiness Diagnostic for Teacher Candidates

You've studied. You've practiced. **But do you know if you'll pass?**

The Praxis 5001 is **four separate tests** — and it passes you on all of them or none. Most people study them like one exam and find out too late which one was the weakest. Triumph turns free practice into **an honest readiness score**, a plan for your actual weak spots, and a forecast of how close you are to the pass.

## The four subtests

| Subtest | Name | Focus | Bank size |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 5002 | Reading & Language Arts | Phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, writing instruction. | 214 questions |
| 5003 | Mathematics | Number sense, algebra, geometry, data — and how to teach it. | 172 questions |
| 5004 | Social Studies | US history & government, geography, world history, economics. | 240 questions |
| 5005 | Science | Earth, life & physical science — plus inquiry and pedagogy. | 343 questions |

## Why this exam breaks people

It's not one test. It's four gates, *in sequence.*

Every subtest has its own passing score. Score high on math and fail science — **you don't pass, you retake science** (full price, 28 days later). Most candidates discover the weak one only after the score report arrives.

This is not a niche fear. A **majority of first-time elementary teacher candidates fail** the most widely used licensure exam, and its first-time pass rate sits **below the bar exam**. Some candidates sit for it eleven times.

- **>50%** — of first-time elementary candidates fail the licensure exam (NCTQ)
- **4/4** — subtests must pass; one failing gate means a full retake
- **11×** — attempts by one candidate on the teacher forums (real post)

## How it works

1. **Practice free, on the real blueprint.** A free question bank organized by the four subtests — same categories, same weights as the official Study Companion. No paywall on the questions themselves.
2. **Get a readiness score, not a vague percentage.** Your answers map to each subtest's categories. Triumph converts them to an estimated scaled score and tells you where you sit against your state's passing line.
3. **A plan built for your weakest gate.** Study time goes where the gap is — 60% on the subtest most likely to fail you, not equal effort across all four.
4. **Track it like a training program.** Progress, retake-readiness, and a study schedule that updates as you improve. No more guessing in the last two weeks.

## Pricing

**Practice — $0.** Free question bank across all four subtests, category-level practice tracking, unlimited attempts. [Start free](https://praxis5001.com/diagnostic.html)

**Triumph — $15/mo.** Readiness score and pass-probability forecast, personalized study plan by weak subtest, progress tracking and retake-readiness. [Get the forecast](https://praxis5001.com/diagnostic.html)

A retake costs about $130 and 28 days. The plan costs $15.
